Please contact Dr. Hightower if you are interested in visiting the campus for an opportunity to have a lesson, observe or participate in rehearsals with UK School of Music ensembles, observe classes, and tour our facilities.
Audition Requirements
Prospective undergraduate students should prepare at least two contrasting works. These works could be études, contrasting movements/sections from a solo work, or standard military band or orchestra excerpts. Scales and sight-reading may also be asked.
Prospective Master’s students should prepare a graduate-level solo work and 3-5 standard military band or orchestral excerpts.
Prospective DMA students should prepare at least two upper level graduate/professional level solo works and 3-5 standard military band or orchestral excerpts.
